General purpose industrial electric motors are manufactured in the standard version:
— mounting type IM 1001 (IMB3);
— climatic category У3;
— S1 duty cycle.
All electric motors are of EFF2 level according to European Energy Regulations.
In order to protect electric motors from over-heating in case of emergency operation, stator windings include thermal switches (one for each phase) connected in series. The contacts of thermal switches are connected to special terminals in the terminal box. Relays and other external protecting devices are connected to these terminals. Thermal switch ensures reliable and accurate protection in case of overheating, overload, phase loss, etc.
According to IEC/EN 60034-11 requirements, protection response temperature for electric motors with F insulation class should be 140 C°.
Electric motors with IP55 protection class are made in enclosed ventilated body that guarantees fail-safe operation.
